In April 2026, Xunlong Zhizao LLC officially won the tender for the procurement of outsourced thermoforming dies for Chery's M1FA model. The winning project includes hot stamping dies for the integrated B-pillar with soft zones and the A-pillar, indicating a further expansion of the company's cooperation with the Chery group.
The winning stamps are intended for a new model based on Chery's next-generation electric vehicle platform. The B-pillar uses a segmented soft crumple zone design that uses local annealing technology to provide high-strength shock resistance at the top and energy-absorbing damping at the bottom. The A-pillar is an extra-long, one-piece, thermoformed design that meets the requirements for a five-star C-NCAP safety rating.
Drawing on more than a decade of experience in developing hot stamping dies, the company has already completed die projects for the Chery T13T, E02, M1E and several other vehicles, providing a full range of tooling for hot formed parts - from door rings and A/B pillars to chassis reinforcements.
After the launch of the project, Xunlong Zhizao LLC will simultaneously optimize production capacity, introduce additional high-precision CNC machining areas, and plan to complete the production of all tooling and die testing by June. Serial deliveries are expected to begin in the second half of the year, allowing the company to further strengthen its presence in the electric vehicle supply chain of Chinese independent brands.
