In June 2026, Xunlong Zhizao Co., Ltd. successfully developed a large-scale injection mold for electric vehicle battery tray. The product uses long glass fiber reinforced polypropylene (LGF-PP) to realize the integrated molding of a lightweight, high-strength and electrically insulating battery tray structure.
The mold size is 2200 × 1800 mm. The design includes a multi-point injection system and conformal cooling channels that ensure uniform filling of the mold and uniform cooling over the entire area of the product without warping or deformation. The dimensional accuracy of the finished product is controlled within ±0.08 mm.
The mold has high structural rigidity and can withstand long-term production under high pressure injection molding conditions. Its service life exceeds 800,000 cycles.
Compared to traditional aluminum battery trays, injection molded products can reduce weight by approximately 40% and reduce manufacturing costs by 25%, while providing superior electrical insulation properties and high corrosion resistance, which fully meets the safety requirements of modern electric vehicle battery systems.
The successful development of this mold was another important step for Xunlong Zhizao LLC in the field of creating molds for lightweight structural components of new energy vehicles.
